Ding Dong! It’s July 2025

Ding Dong! It’s us again! As summer hit its stride, so did we. From standout national headlines to new client wins and even a pub acquisition, July at Front Door has been full of momentum. So let’s swing the door open and see what we have been up to this month.
If July had a coverage MVP, it would be MyVoucherCodes, who accumulated almost 400 pieces of coverage across two campaigns. The first being the cost of grandparents looking after their grandkids during the summer holidays, which made national waves, landing over 50 pieces of coverage, including the Daily Mail, Evening Standard, and even recognition on ITV’s This Morning and Loose Women.
MyVoucherCodes’ money expert Sarah-Jane Outten also popped up on BBC Radio to share savvy tips, but she didn’t stop there. She went on to feature in a double page spread in The Sun, chatting about saving habits across different generations. You can read it online, but fair warning, it might inspire a spontaneous budgeting spreadsheet.
With the summer holidays barely underway, another bombshell was dropped: the true cost of back-to-school shopping. This campaign generated a huge 330+ pieces of coverage, published across outlets like The Independent and The Glasgow Times.
Meanwhile over at Croeso pubs, the family got a little bit bigger as they added The Cricketers in the heart of Cardiff to their pubs portfolio. We’ll definitely be paying them a visit (for research purposes only, of course). Read all about it in Business Live.

There was a proud moment for Orbis Education & Care as Dan y Coed School in Swansea won the Making a Difference Award in the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards. Equally noteworthy was Orbis’ Holly-Mae Fraser, a trainee trauma informed practitioner, who was highly commended in the Frontline Leader Award for her work as well. The news was shared widely, including features in Business News Wales and News from Wales.
We also shared the news that Acquis’ Lumia platform gained two new additions: Lloyds Banking Group and Grenke. This exciting update was picked up on MSN, Yahoo Finance and Broker News among others.
Our very own Rosie attended the Marketing inspire! Cardiff summer social on 16 July at Hodge House, which brought together industry colleagues for an evening of networking. Hosted by CIM, the event featured three guest speakers, all from well-established brands based inside the building: Josh Tumbridge (Go.Compare), Sarah Vining (Ogi) and Dan Hunt (Veezu). The speakers took part in a Q&A panel discussion which delved into the complexities of branding, marketing and growth. And after this, everyone was treated to some really excellent pizza – what more could you ask for!
In the same spirit of celebration and networking, Front Door’s Lisa and Rubie headed to London to celebrate 25 years of 72 point with a boat party. Hosted on the River Thames, the event brought together new and familiar faces in the PR industry. Set against a backdrop of London’s landmarks and summer sunshine, it was a lovely way to connect with peers and reflect on a successful year of creativity and collaboration.

And finally, for those that haven’t heard already, we’re delighted to share that Front Door Communications has been appointed as the PR agency for the Child of Wales Awards 2025. It’s a privilege to help tell the stories that deserve to be heard, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of the team bringing this year’s event to life.
Whew, what a busy month! We’ve got a lot of summer left, so stay cool and rest assured that we will be back with more updates very soon.
