Ding Dong! April 2025

April brought some gorgeous sunny weather and some excellent client updates for the Front Door team, as we’ve been busy with new campaigns, client events and much more besides.
So, what’s been happening this month? Let’s take a look.
Firstly, our most important update – after saying our bittersweet goodbyes to Beth as she left on maternity leave, we’ve now had the incredible news that her baby boy has safely arrived! Congratulations Beth, we can’t wait to meet him!!
We also had some other exciting arrivals in the form of campaign results, as our MyVoucherCodes’ campaign about how much families spend in the Easter holidays picked up a whopping 185 pieces of coverage – including features in The Daily Mail, Yahoo News and lots of regional publications.

Over with Go.Compare, our ‘when is the cheapest time to buy car insurance?’ campaign scored success with the regionals as it was picked up by Newsquest titles, featuring in around 50 papers – with links – including York Press and the Chester Standard.
April also saw bereavement charity 2Wish talking about their important campaign, You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup, which offers support to professionals who have experienced the sudden loss of a child, such as teachers, emergency services workers and funeral directors.

News of the campaign featured on BBC Wales News, BBC Radio Wales and BBC online, where 2Wish’s CEO Rhian Mannings spoke about the impact of tragically losing her son George suddenly in 2012 and also her husband five days later. Andrea Evans, the nurse who was on duty when George was rushed to hospital, also gave a moving interview.
The You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup campaign highlights how important it is for professionals dealing with loss and grief to seek support, instead of struggling alone.
Elsewhere in the team, Kath once again attended the world’s biggest aircraft interiors conference, AIX, in Hamburg with the Acro team (and wrote about the experience in this blog post). It was Kath’s fourth year in attendance and she’s now fully immersed in the world of aircraft seating – she inspects her seat every time she goes on holiday to see who made it!

Back in Cardiff, Rosie lent her expertise to deliver a social media training session at Front Door HQ, which dove into how to create great content and how each platform works. Rosie had some lovely feedback from the session – and has greatly enjoyed watching the attendee spread her social media wings and start posting regularly!
And finally, the FD team are looking forward to summer and all the excitement it brings, with our highlight of course being the Green Man Festival. The buzz for this year’s Green Man is already building – with lots of coverage in the Welsh media throughout April for the Green Man Rising competition, which has its final at the iconic Clwb Ifor Bach on 20th May.

That’s it folks – May we see you again soon!
