Meet Daisy!

This summer we’ve got a new face at Front Door! We have welcomed Daisy Mukyenga as an intern and here she gives us an insight into what her first month has been like and what she is looking forward to as she learns more about the world of digital marketing and PR….
I got interested in PR and Marketing…
During my Year 13 internship at a creative agency back home in Uganda. That experience opened my eyes to the incredible power of strategic communication, how it can shape public perception, build trust, and ultimately drive business success. It was there that I discovered a genuine passion for storytelling, content creation, and building meaningful client relationships.
That spark led me to pursue a degree in Business and Marketing at Cardiff University which I’ve recently completed (woohoo!). As someone who’s always seen themselves as creative, marketing has given me the perfect outlet to bring that creativity to life in a purposeful and impactful way.
Settling into Front Door…
My first few weeks at Front Door have been everything I hoped for and more. The team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making the transition into the company smooth and enjoyable from day one.
I’ve been lucky to get hands-on experience right away, contributing to social media content and press releases (Excel spreadsheets and Word have become my best friend). It’s been fast-paced and energising and I’ve already learnt so much both personally and professionally. The collaborative environment here makes it a fantastic place to grow, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills.
I am looking forward to…
Diving deeper into B2B marketing and PR and gaining even more hands-on experience working with clients. I’m also keen to keep refining my writing skills, especially on topics that are new to me, and to continue building my professional network by learning from the talented team around me.
My goal is to keep taking on new challenges, contribute meaningfully to the team, and grow into a well-rounded PR and marketing professional.
Outside the office…
I love spending quality time with friends and family, whether that’s over FaceTime or in person. I’m a big fan of summer park days and picnics. As a self-declared foodie and cocktail enthusiast, I never say no to discovering a new restaurant or cocktail bar. I’m always on the hunt for the best pizza and margaritas in town, recommendations are welcome!
