Which marketing course do I need?

We offer a range of courses to suit your business needs. Whether you want to get to grips with how to speak to journalists, and maybe even on TV, or you need a helping hand to understand social media best practice, we can help.

What kinds of marketing training do you offer?

Each of our marketing courses is delivered by a member of the Front Door team and can take place either in person – at our base in Pontcanna, Cardiff or at your own office – or, depending on the course, joined remotely on a date that works best for you. Our courses include:

Media Training Course

Media training is an odd phrase, because most journalists won’t want you to be trained. They’ll just want you to be an expert in your field, a knowledgeable interviewee and a confident one too. And that’s what we’ll do with this course – give you the tools, the confidence and the positivity to share your expertise with journalists.

Our media training is led by Kath Chadwick, a former BBC journalist, who has many years of experience being both sides of the microphone. Each course is created specifically for you and your organisation. Broadly, the course covers:

  • Practical insights – everything from what to wear, how to sit, how to get your point across and how it all practically works.
  • Real-world knowledge – media expert Kath will teach you what works and how you can help make a story an even better one for the journalist.
  • Confidence – tips and tricks on how to get the best out of yourself and the piece you will be featuring in.

Most of all, our media training isn’t designed to scare you. Most journalists aren’t going to ask you leading or tricky questions; they just want to use your knowledge to explain a story, an issue or get an opinion to make a better item or article.

Our course is designed to give you confidence and enthusiasm, so you feel excited to get in front of a microphone, not petrified.

So, whether you’re keen to do more TV interviews, jump into a live radio chat or chat one on one with a print journalist, we’re here to make you media ready.
