Ding Dong! It’s June 2024

It’s the end of another calendar month, and that means one more glorious round up of the what, the where and the why-on-earth for the team here at Front Door Communications.

So just what have the FD team been up to this sunny (or not) June? To kick off, lovely client MyVoucherCodes was featured in The Sun and the Express at the start of the month, as it’s offering exclusive, and may we say very attractive, deals on holiday and travel essentials ready for the summer. Nice to see our pals at Go.Compare getting a shout out in the same campaign, too!

Speaking of the king of comparison sites, our recent PR campaign on how to find the best engagement ring insurance in the UK was featured in The Telegraph this month, while Go.Compare’s energy expert Gareth Kloet was also featured in The Sun on Sunday’s money pages sharing his insight on the energy bill rollercoaster we can expect to see in the back half of the year.

It’s been an event-full month for the Front Door team, as we attended not two, but three industry conferences in June! FD Kath was at the Welsh Lending Event on behalf of client Hodge Bank, where intermediaries from all over the country got together at Cardiff Ice Rink to hear the latest industry happenings from the people in the know.

Over in the big smoke, FD Lynsey found herself at Acquis’ Leasing Circle event, an industry forum for the lending community to come together to discuss the issue of fraud, credit decisioning and borrowing trends in the asset finance industry.

And just down the road, the Front Door digital team were very excited to be at the SEO XL Conference in Shoreditch Town Hall, where the best and brightest from the world of Search were sharing their insights ahead of 2025. Among other learnings, FD Beth tried her first chai latte at the conference and she is forever changed.

In slightly odd news for a June round-up, Christmas has been in the air at Front Door Communications HQ! As wonderful client Christmas at Bute Park is back and bigger than ever with their festive lights trail for 2024, we were very happy to be announcing that tickets went on sale this 27^th June, with some lovely coverage landing in Wales Online, Wales 247, Yahoo and lots of regionals to boot.

There’ll be a whole host of new attractions and a reimagined route for 2024, so definitely book your tickets if you haven’t already!

It’s also been a good month for Green Man Fest, which is ramping up now ahead of the upcoming festival later this summer in Mid Wales. We’re readying our wellies and getting the guest lists prepped ahead of what promises to be a pretty exciting year for Green Man – you can read all about the day-by-day lineup in the regionals this month, including South Wales Life here.

And finally, chef Nick Collins of Cleverchefs fame was featured in Good Housekeeping this June, giving us some top tips on cooking meat and why using a griddle pan for cooking is the best way to give that smoky, chargrilled flavour!
