Ding dong! It’s March 2025

It’s been a little while since we last shared a monthly news update, but we’ve kept you in anticipation long enough. Get back from the edge of your seat and settle in for a lovely round up of all things PR from the team at Front Door Comms.

So, what’s been so important that it’s taken us away from writing our beloved ding dongs you ask? Well, strap in.

And we mean that literally, because Front Door Rubie and Rosie have been ONCE AGAIN climbing (and jumping off) the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, this time alongside the wonderful team at Go.Compare.

The GoCo gang invited us along to take part in the Scale challenge in celebration of its partnership with WRU, and it didn’t disappoint. We’re all very proud of FD Rosie who volunteered to launch off the side of the building first. Though she be but small, she is mighty.

And speaking of mighty, there has been an impressive (if we do say so ourselves) share of coverage for client MyVoucherCodes this month, which has launched a campaign on how to celebrate this Mother’s Day on a budget. With tips including shopping local, making your own gifts and researching handy discount codes, the story was featured in over 70 publications including the Independent and the Evening Standard.

It’s also been a fortuitous month for Lottoland, who we’ve been working with on a campaign to celebrate all things Ireland and the Irish Lotto. The online betting provider carried out research into what Brits feel are the best Irish exports in 2025, with Guinness topping the poll. But it’s not so black and white, as the beloved accent and Father Ted also neared the top spot when it comes to our favourite things to come out of Ireland.

There were a whopping 81 pieces of coverage for the story which we were over the moon with, and you can read it for yourself in The Sun, The Mirror, The Daily Star and more.

In financial news, are you in the know about ‘money dysmorphia’? No?

Well, that may be no surprise as it’s a challenge that more and more people are struggling with in 2025, and yet not many are actually aware of the term.

Money dysmorphia refers to situations where there’s a significant mismatch between your financial reality and how you perceive your money situation and wealth. And dear reader let me tell you, I can relate.

FD client IE Hub has been sharing insights into the problem, and how consumers can get on top of a tricky relationship with money, which you can read in the Independent, MSN and lots more this March.

It’s also been an exciting month for events as the Front Door team were lucky enough to attend both the Cardiff Life Awards, where the wonderful organisers at Christmas at Bute Park were highly commended for their 2024 lights trail, as well as Jonathan Fox Davies’ testimonial dinner to celebrate his retirement from rugby.

The event, titled JD13: Farewell Foxy, was held at the ICC in Newport and saw rugby’s great and good come together in recognition of everything Foxy has achieved throughout his career. We were chuffed to be there to celebrate with everyone alongside some of our long time clients, and if the receipts from Be At One afterwards are anything to go by, it was a great night all around.

Finally, if you’ve been sitting at home wondering when for the love of God you can expect a new ding dong update, you might prefer to follow us on LinkedIn where you can get updates in the moment. We’re trying to hit 1000 followers and we’re so very nearly there.

Also, if you’re the TikTok type you can find us there too, where we are trapped in an eternal game of ‘who will embarrass themselves for content today’. It’s worth a follow for that alone.
